Emerson Elementary

Our class traveled to Emerson Elementary School and worked with the students. Each of us was assigned a group of four students to interview. The purpose of this was to find out what elementary students know about global climate change; they were knowledgeable in some aspects and lacking in others. Most of my students knew the types of things that affect the environment—cars, factories, etc… but they were unclear about the science behind the climate changes. Working with the elementary students was really fun! It also made me see how much knowledge I had gained about the topic, because I was able to explain it to them.
